What IKS Homes is building
A treatise read as a working source for code, craft and design.
The gap
Degrees split study from daily practice and making.
What IKS Homes is building
Campuses where scholars, builders and Acharyas share rituals, meals and workshops.
The gap
Wellness brands borrow the concepts and leave the lineage out.
What IKS Homes is building
An institutional home where scholars keep their own IP.
Learning, living and building share a home.
A Gurukula was never just a school: master and disciple lived, worked and learned together.
IKS Homes is building the residential Gurukula for the 21st century.
- No IP lock-in: Scholars and founders keep their research, code and equity.
- Direct support: Fellowship support reaches the person it is for.
- Campus autonomy: Each campus keeps its own academic governance.

Dinacaryā: the daily rhythm of a Gurukula
Each step timed from sunrise, noon and sunset, with its source text.
Each step is what the texts prescribe, timed from sunrise, noon or sunset. It describes the texts: it is not medical advice, and it makes no claim about what any practice does for your health.
Rising before dawn
The texts open the day before sunrise, in the muhūrta named for Brahmā.
brāhme muhūrta uttiṣṭhet- Rise in the brāhma muhūrta
- Begin the day quietly
The Five Dimensions of Space Dharma
Five questions the tradition asks of a place.
1. Character & Essence
sve sve karmaṇy abhirataḥ saṃsiddhiṃ labhate naraḥ“Each devoted to their own work, a person attains perfection.”
Read here of a place as well as a person: a place is at its best when it is built for what it is.
What is the essential nature of this place, and what conditions does life in it require?
Much building today treats a site as interchangeable — the same glass box in a hot plain and a cold hill, farmland turned into a grid of plots. This question starts the other way round: read the site's climate, soil, slope and sun before drawing anything on it.
“Maintain quiet hours after 9 PM.”
“Keep the place quiet at night, because rest is part of what it is for.”
Read the site before drawing the plan. The texts keep the centre of the house — the Brahmasthāna — open; in a hot climate an open courtyard there also brings daylight and air into a deep plan.
IKS Living: four pillars, four ventures
IKS Homes carries the space pillar.
1. Time
An almanac computed for the reader's own city, and the rites that depend on it: when a rite falls, how it is done, and what it needs.
vedā hi yajñārtham abhipravṛttāḥ kālānupūrvā vihitāś ca yajñāḥ“The Vedas came forth for the rites, and the rites are ordained in the order of time — so whoever knows jyotiṣa, the reckoning of time, knows the rites.”
- Today's tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana for your own city, with the moment each one turns
- Auspicious windows for a ceremony in the range you choose
- Puja procedures in order, with the samagri each one needs
- The Vaasthu reference — zones, entrance padas, the named cubits and the classical grids — open to anyone
The almanac and the Vaasthu engine sit on the platform every venture shares, so the others can read the same computation rather than keep their own.
Built on the Ojas platform
The Homes shelf runs on the same platform as every venture below.
Live
2 venturesThe storefront, checkout and payments our own sites sell through.
Runs today: Catalogue, one cart and checkout, UPI and card payments, race-safe stock.
Plan around: Walk-in sales are keyed in from the orders screen; no till, no offline mode.
Utsavams, weddings and conferences, kept on one record.
Runs today: Tickets, per-function RSVPs, contribution drives, cost sheets and QR check-in.
Plan around: Ticket takings are not split between co-hosts; Ojas records them as organizers.
Live in part
8 venturesWhat your legal form owes, when, and a professional to do it.
Runs today: A compliance calendar, fee bands on a public shelf, and your own matter record.
Plan around: Ojas prepares and keeps the record; a licensed professional submits every filing.
When a rite falls, how it is done, and what it takes.
Runs today: A panchangam computed for your city, and each rite's vidhi and samagri in order.
Plan around: The vidhi is a draft written in-house, not yet read by a practising purohit.
Booking pages for senior residences, care homes and Ayurvedic retreats.
Runs today: Account-free public booking of rooms, beds and halls.
Plan around: The campus is not started; it is the aim, not the offer.
Indicative eligibility, EMI arithmetic and a ten-family shelf of business credit.
Runs today: Three free browser tools, a ten-family credit shelf, a free consultant enquiry.
Plan around: No lender is empanelled, so nothing is submitted; take the file to any lender.
Academy programmes and an expert desk for makers of Indian produce and craft.
Runs today: Academy programmes with intakes, an expert desk with rates, requests for drafts.
Plan around: Testing, specifications and dossiers are scoped, not started; the Academy teaches what standards ask.
Residential gurukulas for Indian knowledge systems.
Runs today: A curated homes shelf, owner listings checked by a curator, and a heritage-homes collection.
Plan around: No campus is built, so there is no residency; four campus concepts are written out.
Shared cattle hostels, and the village farming around them.
Runs today: A farm and veterinary supplies shop with checkout, order tracking and place booking.
Plan around: Cattle hostels and the biorefinery are not started; the site sets out their design.
Indian knowledge systems, taught from their own texts.
Runs today: Vāstu syllabi published in full, and an online check of a certificate's code.
Plan around: Enrolment is not open, and no degree or diploma is awarded; the syllabi are for reading.
Not started
2 venturesPāṇini's Sanskrit grammar as software that shows each rule it applies.
Exists today: On the shared Ojas engine, a publisher can sell books and run ticketed readings.
Where it stands: The grammar engine and manuscript viewer are not started; no date is promised.
One agreement and one honest record for handing a business over.
Exists today: Agreements, ownership handover and a settlement journal, run by our team on the console.
Where it stands: No public marketplace and no buyer matching; each deal is set up by hand.
What works today, and what is next
Each row is checked against the running site.
What works
- A curated Homes shelf
Homes for sale and rent from verified advertisers, re-confirmed every 30 days. New projects show their RERA registration.
- Ask, or request a viewing
Send a question or viewing request from any listing. A curator receives it.
- List your own home
Sign in, write the listing and submit it. A curator checks ownership before anything is public.
- A heritage-homes collection
Houses a curator has confirmed are on a public heritage list, each with the curator's conservation notes.
- Fourteen knowledge domains
Each has a page with a charter, focus areas and classical canons, searchable and filterable.
- Four fellowship tracks
Duration, eligibility, deliverables and selection stages, written out.
- Register interest in a fellowship
The fellowships form records your interest in a track and a domain, and shows a reference once it is stored.
- Four campus concepts
Kāśī, Bengaluru, Wayanad and Ujjain, each set out by zones, capacity and climate.
Next up
- Campuses and residency
No campus is built (0 today), so there is no residency. The four concepts show what each would hold.
- Admissions
No cohort is open, so this site admits no one. The fellowships page records your interest in a track.
- Laboratories
There is no laboratory, so no bench access. Each domain page describes the research it would host.
- Venture investment
No incubation or seed investment is made through this site, and no cohort has a start date.
Restoring the Unbroken Continuum of Dharmic Innovation
“When knowledge is dislodged from its living lineage, it degenerates into mere information. When it is restored to residential sadhana, it transforms back into wisdom.”
IKS Homes exists to root India’s next century of science and enterprise in its own foundations.
